Vons tent

My mom got Von a little pop up tent with a crawl tube that you can attach to it. Von pulls the tube all over the place and crawls in and out of it. He LOVES his tent!! He brings his toys into it, he runs in and out of it, we throw all of his stuffed animals in it and he thinks it is pretty funny.

Last night I heard Chris yell at him and then Von crying and running. I come into Von's room and Chris is kneeling in front of the tent talking to Von. I ask him what happened?? He tells me that Von kicked Daisy (dog) while she was eating and he got a spankin.. Von took off running and dove into his tent to hide!!!!! so stinking cute.. Bad of course that he is kicking dogs... But so cute he took off for his tent to take cover!!! I love him so!!

Spring cleaning

I watched one of my favorite TV shows Friday night "hoarders".. have you heard of it? If not, you should really check it out! So this weekend I cleaned out the house!! It feels so good..... I sold some of Von's toys that he never plays with, the place I bought them to was having 50% off all their clothes!! I got 2 pairs of jeans for Von for a grand total of $3.00! Then I took some gold jewelry (that I never wear) and sold it. Made myself a cool $100.00.... Nicely done if do say so myself.. I wrapped up some toys that Von has out grown and packed them away, cleaned the garage and the back yard. I still have a long way to go on the back yard.... but man do I feel good with what I got done in 2 days. Before I went to bed I did another quick clean out of Von's clothes. I will put them in the labeled tub when I get home.

Little man

The little man has a cold. NO GOOD!! Chris brought him to the doctor to make sure it was nothing more and all was good. Maybe now we will get some solid sleep... or just any sleep would be good at this point. I finally had the MRI for my back.. so we will see what that brings. Other than that just work, work and more work it seems.

Christmas & New Years

Christmas eve we went to dinner at Carol and Jerry's and then went to church with Chris and Von and the rest of the Trana family... and it didn't even burn down!!! ha ha... I was sweating like no other in there though!! Von was pretty good there, of course we had snacks galore for him!! We had a nice Christmas morning, Von ripped a little bit of paper at a time from a package and then moved on to something else. But all in all he did well. Carol, Jerry, Mike and Lauren came over for Christmas breakfast and some presents for Von. Von got a play house for outside from mom mom and pops. It was quite the sight to watch Chris and his dad put the play house together!! Von got bowling balls and pins from his Uncle Mike and Aunt Lauren and a crazy seat thing from Uncle Matt and Aunt Tina. We got to take a nap and then off to dinner at Carol and Jerry's. It was a nice day

New years we spent in the ER. I have been having some crazy pain in my hip/leg/foot and found I have sciatica. So home with some pain pills and steroids... We laid in bed and watched the Hangover (a great movie, totally rude.... but great). It has been nice just hanging out with my family. Chris has been taking care of me very well... and I'm sure he is ready to back to work!! (hello he had 7 days off!!! Jealous)

Washington trip

Santa, Emma and a not very happy Von

Mom and Dad flew us to Washington for a long weekend. I have some anxiety flying anyways.... Add Von to the mix and I thought my head was going to explode!! I couldn't sleep at night the week before and my cat Fido got into a cat fight and ended up with a abscess over his right eye. Chris had to take the cat to a vet the day before we left and they said $500.00 to fix him. Chris said no and they gave us some antibiotics.. we decided if it didn't work we would have to put him down. It was very sad.. The morning we left the abscess popped and it was a mess. I cleaned it the best I could and left him in the house. I have a great friend that watches our house/animals for us, she took great care of Fido and he is all better!!! He has a bald patch over his eye, but his eye is open now and it doesn't look infected. I think he has 3 more lives left in him!!

Von flew like a champ! At the take off he had a smile on his face, it was almost like "I like this and at the same time I'm not quite sure about it" but he did great! It was great to see our family! the kids are so funny and getting so big.. They already have teenager emotions running through them! We mostly just hung out at home, we took the city bus into Seattle Friday and then the commuter train home. It was fun to walk around. Pikes place is always fun... but the same stuff is always there! Still we had a great time. The town my family lives in is a older smaller town. They had a Santa in town, the was no line!!! We all took pictures with Santa.. Von was not a fan of him!! But he got a candy cane out of the deal....

We came back on Sunday, we get through security, the stroller is checked to make sure we are not packing a bomb... I have Von in my arms and I feel wet all down my arm.. Well his diaper leaked!! Perfect timing..... All in all our trip home was good.

It was nice to be home and back in our king size bed!!

Thanksgiving...... better late than never!

The entire Chambers family came out for Thanksgiving. We had a great time, I forgot just how loud my family is when we all get together!!! The kids are getting so big... Emma is 10, Kaleb is 7 and Jackson is 5!! Emma went with me to go see New Moon.. she is too cute. She asked if I was team Jacob or Edward? I told her Edward, she said she was Jacob.. During the movie if there was kissing she would cover her eyes!! What a good girl.. The boys are a ruff and tough.. Thanksgiving was fun. We went to Erik's mother in laws, the food was so good!!

Emma was in full scheming mode to have her dad say she could take our dog Bently... Erik and I had already said she was going to take him, but she thought she was getting one over on him!!! Bently LOVES Emma!! He wouldn't leave her side... He stood next to the morning they were leaving and looked at me. I told him to go with her that she was him momma now.... he took off for her and never looked back!! She said he was the perfect dog to ride in the car. We miss him but know it was the best thing for him.. and now our house is so quite!!!!!

Von has been babbling so much!! He started speech therapy and we can see a difference in him. He now says kitty kitty and cookie.. He bring cookies to us and says cookie or he just eats them in the pantry!! He also said ba for ball.. so he is getting better. I know once he starts there will be no stopping him.

We put up our Christmas tree and Von is like a magnet to it!! At first he thought he could throw his toys books and baskets at it.. but now he just likes to touch it. Von also got his first snow!! We bundled him up and Chris pulled him up and down the street in the snow. I think he liked it and was scared all at the same time!! Maybe it was the speed at which Chris was turning and whipping him around that scarred him!! We made a Von snow angel and I know he didn't like that at all!! O well... There will be more snow days
