Thanksgiving...... better late than never!

The entire Chambers family came out for Thanksgiving. We had a great time, I forgot just how loud my family is when we all get together!!! The kids are getting so big... Emma is 10, Kaleb is 7 and Jackson is 5!! Emma went with me to go see New Moon.. she is too cute. She asked if I was team Jacob or Edward? I told her Edward, she said she was Jacob.. During the movie if there was kissing she would cover her eyes!! What a good girl.. The boys are a ruff and tough.. Thanksgiving was fun. We went to Erik's mother in laws, the food was so good!!

Emma was in full scheming mode to have her dad say she could take our dog Bently... Erik and I had already said she was going to take him, but she thought she was getting one over on him!!! Bently LOVES Emma!! He wouldn't leave her side... He stood next to the morning they were leaving and looked at me. I told him to go with her that she was him momma now.... he took off for her and never looked back!! She said he was the perfect dog to ride in the car. We miss him but know it was the best thing for him.. and now our house is so quite!!!!!

Von has been babbling so much!! He started speech therapy and we can see a difference in him. He now says kitty kitty and cookie.. He bring cookies to us and says cookie or he just eats them in the pantry!! He also said ba for ball.. so he is getting better. I know once he starts there will be no stopping him.

We put up our Christmas tree and Von is like a magnet to it!! At first he thought he could throw his toys books and baskets at it.. but now he just likes to touch it. Von also got his first snow!! We bundled him up and Chris pulled him up and down the street in the snow. I think he liked it and was scared all at the same time!! Maybe it was the speed at which Chris was turning and whipping him around that scarred him!! We made a Von snow angel and I know he didn't like that at all!! O well... There will be more snow days

I dragged Chris to Kathy Griffin and I loved it!! He is a good husband and amuses me by going... Work is going well for us. I had another moment on the way to work and fell... I swear I need a walker! I am posting a few pictures. enjoy

new news

I don't seem to have any time... but I don't seem to be doing anything either. Lets start with Speech Therapy. Von had his 1st evaluation.. Besides the fact that he is beautiful... :-) he is a little behind in speech. They said when he babbles to babble back, you are speaking his language and it makes him excited. We started to do that and he just goes on and on now. He still loves to use his hands to express himself. It is pretty dang cute..

We went to Chili's for dinner with some friends on Saturday night. Lets start with it was packed!!!!! It was after the BSU butt kick on U of I. We had placed our orders and got our drinks. Then out of no where Von gets sick all over the table, floor, himself and Chris's pant leg. There is only 4 paper napkins on the table, I try to use Von's jacket as a towel. I scoop up Von and run him out of the restaurant. Chis is left behind to clean..... I stripped Von of all his clothes in the back of the car.. it is maybe 20 degrees outside!! The poor kid is crying and shaking from the cold. I bundle him up and put him in the car. We get home and straight to the bath. He gets sick a few more times.. no fever. We think he maybe some food poisoning. I don't think I will ever go to Chili's again!! I feel bad for our friend, the people around us and the poor waitress...

It is almost Thanksgiving and my family is coming from WA for a week... It should be pretty interesting everyone staying in our little house.

Not much else is going on. Just racing home after work to maybe see Chris for a few minutes and then spend the night playing with Von. I'm pretty lucky to have both of them in my life!!

Halloween!!!

We had a great time for Halloween!! Von did really good in his costume, he got the routine down helf way through. We brought his wagon and he picked it up real fast to get out of his wagon, run up to the door, try to push the door open and go inside...... then run back to his wagon and start it all over again!! He wasnt scared of anything!! He is a little cutie I tell you.......

AND......... he said "up"!!!!!! yay!!!!

We have been so busy it seems!!! We are just plugging along...... I took Von to the doctor last week and she agreed that Von is behind in his speech. I told her he is pointing and clapping with the occasional Momma. She said that is all stuff a 12 mo should be doing. So we are getting set up with speech therapy. We have been reading books to him and pointing things out of the book. He loves books!! He brings them to you and wants to sit in your lap. We are also working on body parts. He was giving us quit the fight when it comes to eating!!! There is lots of crying, turning his head into the high chair and the grandest of them all...... throwing up! His doctor told me he should only be drinking 4oz of juice a day.. He has been drinking a lot more than that!! She said he is filling himself up on empty calories. So he is off the juice and Chris and I swear we have a different kid!!!! He eats like a champ.. no crying, no fits, no throwing up... just eating! Eating a lot!! He is happy (always has been) and laughing so much more now!! We swear its because he is off the juice!

My mom is going to be here for Halloween... yay!! We also had some family pictures taken!! love, Love , Love them!!
